Steve has been a passionate pioneer in bottom-up hyper innovation in rural developing markets.  Steve has advised and presented to financial institutions, Universities, as well as, government and utility officials in developing markets globally; has  been an invited speaker to events sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, MasterCard Foundation, IEEE, and during WEF in Davos on the opportunity of ‘Hyper Innovation’ that exits in the last mile. A talk at Singapore Management University inspired case study on ‘Connecting the Invisible Woman in India’.

Prior to starting Villedge Solutions, Steve founded and continues to serve on the Board of Veriown Global, an innovative technology company with a focus on connecting people without access to electricity, internet, and banking systems in rural India.  Steve developed and led Eaton’s Energy & Infrastructure business strategy for the central region of U.S. Steve has led regional, national, and global development of renewable energy projects as well as energy efficiency, EV infrastructure, and microgrid projects and demonstrations.
