Matt is Founding Partner and CEO of Ambershore Group and advisor to Villedge Solutions. He has a deep passion for entrepreneurship in emerging markets and has cultivated expertise in finance, development and academia for over a decade. Prior to forming Ambershore, Matt worked with clients ranging from individual investors and early-stage companies to State-Owned Enterprises and served as an advisor to organizations in China, Colombia, Ghana, Nigeria, Mexico, Sri Lanka, and the United States. As Global Relationship Director at a New York-based frontier markets listed equities fund, Matt gained extensive experience building relationships and in strategic, financial and legal evaluation of markets and investments.

 

Matt has a BA in Political Science, with honors, from Swarthmore College, an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, and a JD from the Fordham University School of Law. He is proficient in Mandarin and has published op-ed articles in the Huffington Post, Far Eastern Economic Review, and Christian Science Monitor.
